They Need A Remedy July 1, 2008

I meet people every weekend who are facing hardship and pain far more severe than I can imagine going through. There are men and women battling cancer, some for the second time. There are grieving parents who have lost children to tragic accidents or diseases. There are those who have daughters and sons addicted to drugs and are fighting for some hope, something to inspire them to look past the hurt and see the Remedy. One elderly man I met, had just lost his precious wife of fifty years. One young women had been widowed only a year before, by the suicide of her “youth pastor” husband. I’ve listened to heartbreaking, heart wrenching stories of those who have been through the fire and flood and darkness and lived to tell about it. These are the ones who really understand the significance of Ezekiel 16:6 and Isaiah 43 and Jeremiah 33:3 and Romans 8:28. Promises from a God who sees and feels and hears our deepest cries and sighs and aching. These are the ones who convince me to press on when I’m weak and discouraged. God wants them to live. God wants them to know that He knows them by name. He wants them to listen for His Word that is sure to come and rest in the hope that there is, in fact, a Remedy. Maybe you have someone close to you or even someone new at church that you know is suffering or depressed. Share the love and hope of Jesus with them. The Word of God is powerful, sharp, and always effective. There are lots of wandering and hurting people out there. Take time to plant a Seed into a life! You will be surprised at how God will use these instances to bless and maybe even change your life.

I have to agree. So many are hurting and have hurt. We are so blessed by God that it takes those who are tempered by fire to share the mercy, greatness, warmth, of our Lord. After my husband pasted 6 years ago from Colon Cancer at 33, I found my first song of yours. I never knew who you and Kelly were at the time. My best friend and I sang “He Knows My Name” at church and it liberated me so. The realization that He did know me so intimately has helped me to reach out and explain that to others. I thank God for allowing me to have just a piece of your blessing to touch me. It was another blessing when I spoke to you in Albermarle a year ago in September. God bless and walk on spreading His grace!

Hi Annie I just wanted to let you girls know hat you have been such a blessing to our family. Just recently I heard the song There is a rememdy and I absolutely love it. So many of your songs “mimister” to me. I lost twins 3 years ago and then not even two months later I found out I was pregnant again needless to say I was scared to death. But I think that was Gods way of telling me to “live”. We had tried for so long to have a baby and then we got pregnant with the twins and were on cloud nine. And when I lost them my world fell apart and I was dying inside. And through all of that I felt that God and everybody else had abandoned me. I just couldn’t understand why he let me carry Macie and Jordan so long and then called them to be with Him, and I still don’t but I now have a little girl her name is MaKenleigh she is 2 and she absolutely loves your songs. And sometimes I think God put me through losing my babies to make me a better person and a better mom. She is the light of our life. Everytime I mean everytime we get into the car to go somewhere she starts saying “Name momma, name” and she wants to hear He Knows My Name. And God Bless her she doesn’t get everyword in but she sings her little heart out. An its so sweet. Everybody has had to get that song for their vehicle because you don’t go anywhere with Kenleigh and not listen to it. Also a co worker of mine recently died from Luekemia and she loved the song When He Said Live. That was when I first heard it so I got the CD and MaKenleigh has come to love this song also. When it comes on she will start saying “mommas song” cause I will tell her Kenleigh hers my song when it comes on. It just melts my heart to listen to her “sing”. We came to see you guys at church the other night when ya’ll where at Calvery Missionary Baptist and ya’ll did a great job! ( Kenleigh was the little girl on the pew right behind your mom with the little pink and white dress on lol) Anyway just thought I would share with you that have touch our life with your ministry! Good Luck and God Bless
